About Kristin Kinkel
Kristin Kinkel served as a bilingual educational assistant with Hillsboro School District in Oregon, where she provided key support to the lead teacher in providing instruction for both English and Spanish literacy. Prior to accepting this role, Kristin Kinkel taught English to Japanese individuals in Honolulu, where she lived as an undergraduate. She studied teaching English to speakers of other languages at Hawaii Pacific University, which she attended on a full athletic scholarship for cheerleading. Kristin Kinkel competed in cheerleading in high school and college and also served as a professional cheerleader.
For nearly a decade, Kristin Kinkel worked with Varsity Spirit Corporation, which allowed her to travel to nearly every state as well as South America and Asia as she organized and ran various cheerleading camps and clinics as a head instructor. She was also a judge for domestic and international cheerleading competitions and personally placed exceedingly well in various competitions.
As a cheerleader, Kristin Kinkel explored the stunt side rather than the dancing side of the sport. This interest led to experiences with circus arts and martial arts. She also keeps active by playing tennis and skiing.
